The Potowmack Institute

Present Eisenhower's letter to his brother Edgar Newton Eisenhower, November 8, 1954. He mentions the Libertarian Right as manifest in H. L. Hunt at the time. The John Birch Society was formed in the late 1950s out of disappointment in Eisenhower who did not dismantle the political establishement and the social contract created by the New Deal. See JBS founder Robert Welch's statement in 1962.

Eisenhower also makes an omnious reference to 1953 US sponsored coup in Iran.
